Refund Policy

Effective date: February 21, 2026

1. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your TechWrite subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period.
  • You retain full access to all paid features until your subscription expires.
  • After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the free plan.
  • Your documents and data are preserved — nothing is deleted when you downgrade.

2. Refund Eligibility

We want you to be satisfied with TechWrite. We offer refunds under the following conditions:

  • Within 7 days of first payment — If you are a new subscriber and the Service does not meet your expectations, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your first payment.
  • Service issues — If you experience significant downtime or technical issues that prevent you from using the Service, we may issue a prorated refund or credit at our discretion.
  • Billing errors — If you were charged incorrectly (e.g., duplicate charges), we will issue a full refund for the erroneous charge.

3. Non-Refundable Items

  • Subscription fees beyond the 7-day window are generally non-refundable, as you can cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
  • Partial months are not prorated upon cancellation — you keep access through the end of the billing period.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email us at support@techwrite.ai with "Refund Request" in the subject line.
  2. Include the email address associated with your account and a brief explanation of your request.
  3. We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.

Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days.

5. Plan Changes

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, you will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period. When downgrading, the new rate takes effect at the start of your next billing period.
